Well, it's a hot topic at the moment.
But who would you choose?
For me, I pick Rudy Gay. Statistically, Rudy does better for his team. With core guys who take the load off of a once prolific scorer, his assists are higher than that of Anthony.
While Carmelo is more of a scorer, and his shot selection becoming more and more pedestrian as the season wears on.
Another thing is the team leadership quality.
Melo is not showing it. Hanging his head down low after plays don't go his way, or not even contesting fast breaks.
The team records have a lot to do with that as well. New York sits at 5-26, only half a game ahead of leagues worst 76ers. While Sacramento is 12-17.
No doubt both players will be named all-stars come February, however, the big question is, do either have a chance at getting their teams into the playoffs?
Rudy most likely will not. His Confernce is stacked very well, and the chances of Sacramento even reaching the 8th seed are slim to none. Where on the other had , the knicks have a chance to then their season around in their deplorable Confernce.
But for the moment, Rudy Gay is looking more and more like a superstar caliber player, we all expected to see.
